I originally started my blog when I purchased my Canon 40D back in 2008. I wanted to blog about my learning process as I got to know my DSLR. The blog was under the name Everyday Embellished and you can still see my old blog posts which I’ve imported here. My DSLR is a piece of technology that seems to have stood the test of time and I love sharing the photos that I’ve taken with it (as well as those taken with my smart phone). Like many, I need to make more of an effort to get my camera out.

The blog is still ever-changing, but it always remains a place where I can share my experiences and photography, while becoming a better writer. I mainly blog so that I can easily remember where I’ve been and what I’ve done. I like to make use of the images I take. Memories are great, but I want to see them and re-remember the story instead of having them take up room on my computer or phone where they’re rarely ever looked at again.
